Introducing the

Euroshopper Trolleybike

With parking space becoming ever more restricted and fuel prices on the increase, being able to do the weekly shopping without having to use the car seems an Utopian idea.

The Euroshopper makes it a reality. Equipped with a 50 litre container, wheels large enough to make cycling easy and the facility to fold the bike into a trolley small enough to push around the local shops and supermarkets, the trolleybike is the green solution to everybody’s shopping problem.

From cycling mode                                                                       To shopping mode - In just 10 seconds

Folding the bike is easy. After lowering the trolley wheel, extended sprung alignment levers (not shown) on the front and rear wheel frames are used to move these about hinge centres A and B (along arrows a and b) from ‘in-line’ to parallel position as shown in the plan views Figs 1 & 2 below, and locked into indents provided. At the same time the steering wheel is locked in line with the front wheel frame.

The shopping container and associated push-and-brake bar is then moved along slide rails provided into a central position between the wheels, and the hinged right-hand handlebar and pedal are folded down to eliminate any obstruction in shopping mode.

The shopping trolley can now be pushed as shown in Fig 3 using the spring-loaded push-bar provided, which also acts as a brake on the tyres when no pressure is applied.
